Located on the Rio Coco, Krin Krin is a remote village on the border of Nicaragua and Honduras. The aftermath of hurricanes, natural disasters, conflict and socioeconomics has left many towns on the Rio Coco to rebuild their infrastructure and communities.
Basic necessities of life, such as clean, drinkable water are inaccessible. Despite the present situation, community leaders, families, and neighboring groups work to enhance Krin Krin’s livability and well-being.
To this end, FRHC provides assistance and works with existing non-profit and community initiatives in Nicaragua. In the last three years, FRHC has helped provide essential medical care, medications, seeds for farming, emergency food supplies, and other assistance.
